COVID-19 - HOW WE'RE DOING BUSINESS - PLEASE READ

Across Canada, we are all taking extraordinary steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  The COVID-19 outbreak has and will continue to change our lives in many ways over the next few weeks.  For all of us, the priority is staying healthy and doing what we can to prevent the spread of this virus.


We want to assure you that now and always, the health and safety of our employees, customers, suppliers, and the communities where we live, work and serve, is of utmost importance to us.


We have been closed since 1 January, and in line with the Premier’s closure order, are closed to the public until further notice.  Our decisions going forward will be guided by our values and long-standing commitments to trust, transparency and accountability.  We will continue to monitor current events and take our cues from government and health authorities.


We understand that some of you may need support with your ponds.  As always, we are here for you.  Nick and I are available to provide advice via the phone (519-666-0132), email (isa@bloominbog.com) and social media channels (Facebook - @BloominBog or on Instagram - #thebloominbog).


We will continue to fulfill online shop orders (https://the-bloomin-bog.myshopify.com/), although there may be short delays due to low stock and workload.  At checkout you may choose “a shipping method” or “curbside pickup”.  To utilize curbside pickup please indicate in the “notes” the day and time you would like to pick up your order.


We will continue to take phone (519-666-0132) orders.  Please have your credit card details handy, and the day and time you’d like to pick-up your order.


PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CANNOT PROCESS RETURNS OR EXCHANGES AT THIS TIME.

Please rest assured that we are staying at home, and practicing physical distancing and hygiene in our personal and business lives.

 

Keeping our hands clean

  • We wash our hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • We wear gloves when preparing and packing your orders.

  • We sanitize the “curbside pickup” area following every pickup.

  • We sanitize all deliveries from our suppliers (see below).


Keeping our environment clean

  • We sanitize, clean and disinfect our customer service counter, work surfaces, phones, keyboard, computer, cash register, POS terminal and door handles.

  • We have not hired any staff this year – there are only two of us working to fulfill orders.


Keeping our distance

  • We keep a distance of more than 6ft (2m) between us and curbside customers.

  • We have had no contact with people since 14 March, 2020.

  • We keep a safe distance from delivery trucks, spray down all boxes with soapy water and bleach, and store them away for 4 days.

  • After the 4 day period of quarantine, we unpack orders and sanitize every box before pricing and placing on shelves.

  • We are currently fulfilling orders with stock from last year.  We do not anticipate bringing in new supplies for 2020 until the first week of May.
