Barley Extract is the natural solution to maintaining a clean and balanced pond all year long. Use to inhibit the growth of string algae.
The powerful liquid barley concentrate works faster than and is cleaner than barley pellets or barley straw bales. As barley straw and pellets slowly ferment or rot, they produce a natural extract which has been proven to clear string algae. While effective, this fermentation process has always been slow and messy.
Routine Application Rate Apply every two weeks.
Persistent Problem Application Rate If pond water is turbid, double the dose and use weekly until water is clear. Thereafter use every two weeks for maintenance.
For Best Results Apply Barley Extract to an area of the pond with the most water flow for proper dispersion of the product.
Restrictions None. Barley Extract is safe for use with fish, plants, birds or domestic animals that drink from the pond.
