Kink-free hose comes in both metric and imperial sizes. This hose is used with black insert fittings).
Metric is typically a little larger fit designed for European pumps and filters (e.g. Tetra, OASE).
Imperial is typically a little smaller fit designed for all other pump and filter models (e.g. Aquascape, PondMax).
PVC flexible smooth pipe comes in imperial sizes only. Connections are made with Sch.40 PVC fittings PVC pipe cement.
Vinyl hose comes in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" in ID.
Airline hose comes 3/16" and 3/8" in ID.
